Keeping track of an allergy that returns every year
The season, the place and the trigger: a short note of the pattern is the most useful thing you can bring.
Allergic complaints tend to arrive on a schedule. People usually know roughly what sets them off but not why it has become more frequent. A few notes made through the year make that conversation far shorter.
What is worth writing down
The month it starts and the month it eases. The time of day the sneezing or itching is worst. Where you were and what you were doing when it began. Whether it followed a change of place, of work, or of weather.
A line in a phone note on each bad day is plenty. It does not need to be detailed.
Why the pattern is the useful part
The episode you are having on the day of the visit is only one point. The run of episodes across a year is what the doctor asks about, because that is where the pattern shows.
If the same weeks come up year after year, that is worth saying out loud even if it seems obvious to you.

How the visit works
A first consultation takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on how much history there is to go through. Follow up visits are shorter and are usually 10 to 20 days apart. The consultation fee is Rs 600. Appointments are arranged by phone or on WhatsApp during clinic hours; there is no online booking.
Bring the notes if you have them, and the season you first noticed the trouble if you do not.
