Noting down a headache before your visit
Where it starts, how it spreads, and what was happening in the hours before: the details worth capturing.
Recurring headaches are hard to describe from memory once the episode has passed. A short note written during or just after an episode makes the consultation much more precise.
What to capture
Where the pain starts and where it moves to. How long it lasts. What you had eaten, how you had slept, and what you had been doing in the hours before it began.
Also worth noting: what you took for it, and whether it made a difference.
Why the hours before matter
The consultation looks at the pattern of the episodes rather than the pain alone. Skipped meals, short sleep, long screen hours, travel, a change of weather: any of these may show up repeatedly once a few episodes are written down.

How the visit works
A first consultation takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on how much history there is to go through. Follow up visits are shorter and are usually 10 to 20 days apart. The consultation fee is Rs 600. Appointments are arranged by phone or on WhatsApp during clinic hours; there is no online booking.
Even three or four noted episodes give the doctor more to work with than a general description.
